Avangard signs Vasily Demchenko to contract extension

Avangard Hockey Club has signed goalie Vasily Demchenko to a two-year contract extension.

In the 2022/23 season, Demchenko played 69 games and had 39 wins (92.8 save percentage and 2.00 GAA in the regular season, 93.3 save percentage and 1.97 GAA in the playoffs).

- Vasily had a great season. He kept progressing during the regular season and reached the highest level to keep it up in the playoffs. He has proven himself to be very dependable and able to make his teammates feel more confident and cool-headed which helped the team win many games. With his solid performance, Demchenko deserved a new contract and we are happy to have this goalie on the team heading to the next season.
