Avangard and Admiral make a trade

Avangard Hockey Club has traded goalie Vasily Demchenko to Admiral for netminder Pavel Khomchenko who has been signed to a two-year contract.

29-year-old goaltender has played 42 KHL games (91.3%Sv, 2.72GAA). In the 2021/22 season, played for Swedish team AIK, and was recognized as the best goalie in в HockeyAllsvenskan.

- Vasily Demchenko hasn’t been playing to his strengths this season. In suchlike situations change of scenery and sharp intake of breath can do a power of good. Needless to say that we do remember and appreciate all the help Vasily gave Avangard last season and wish him much success in his future career. Khomchenko will make a good addition as an experienced goalie ready to step in any moment and increase team goalie depth.

Khomchenko will be wearing number 30 in Avangard.
