Ziyat Paigin joins Avangard

Avangard Hockey Club has made a trade with Torpedo and 27-year-old defenseman Ziyat Paigin joins our team. The Nizhny Novgorod club received monetary compensation. Paigin signed a three-year contract with Avangard.
During the previous season, Paigin played 46 games for Torpedo and scored 16 (5+11) points. This season, he has played 4 games, and scored one goal.

- We need to improve our blueline corps, that is why we paid our attention to Paigin. He has good size, does well on the power play and is a good shooter. We see great potential in him, and therefore we sign a three-year contract with him. We have been following Ziyat for a long time, have been working on this transfer, negotiating with Torpedo, but could not find a compromise. I am glad that we finally managed to do it.
Paigin will be wearing number 82.
