Avangard Hockey Club has made a trade with Kunlun Red Star and acquired forward Nail Yakupov and sport rights of Canadian defenseman Turner Ottenbreit. Kunlun received monetary compensation.

Yakupov is signed to a contract through the current season. The forward will be wearing number 65 in Avangard.

This season, Nail Yakupov has played 27 games for Kunlun and scored 11 (7+4) points. He totals 311 KHL games, 85 goals and 83 assists. In 2021, he won the Gagarin Cup with our team.

27-year-old Turner Ottenbreit played 64 games for Red Star last season and scored 8 (1+7) points.
