“The goals of the club are and will always be highly ambitious". Evgeny Kozhevnikov talks the results of the transfer campaign

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Avangard Hockey Club Evgeny Kozhevnikov summed up the results of the 2024/25 transfer campaign of the club:
- Our team found itself in a difficult situation early in the season, and it required radical changes.
A decision was taken to find a new head coach and build the roster according to his vision and plan.
Guy Boucher is a coach with extensive NHL experience, he shares my philosophy, according to which Avangard is to be aggressive, dominate on offense and play spectacular hockey.
Based on the concept of the coaching staff and the club's development strategy, a number of staff changes were made aimed at restructuring all lines of the team.
We thank the guys who played for us, but will continue their careers in other clubs, we wish them good luck.
Profound changes were required for Avangard to be among title contenders again.
All lines of the team were strengthened and we have reached the roster depth. Now the coaching staff is able to choose the players to be dressed for games and build best possible lines, all the work is aimed at the result.
All the changes made allowed Avangard to be ranked among the top-eight teams of the Conference and we continue to pick up steam - which is good news.
