Avangard Hockey Club has signed defenseman Semyon Chistyakov to a one-year contract extension.

- Semyon Chistyakov is a key figure not only for the club but for the entire city of Omsk. One of our top priorities is to secure our core roster for the long term, and we are delighted to have finalized this extension mid-season. There’s no need to list his strengths - everyone already knows what he brings to the ice. It’s safe to say that when people think of Avangard lately, Semyon is one of the first names that comes to mind. I know he’ll keep giving the fans plenty to cheer about.

Chistyakov totals 377 games for the Omsk team, 137 (43+94) points and a plus-9 rating.
