Joshua Leivo joins Avangard

Avangard Hockey Club has signed forward Joshua Leivo to a one-year contract.

- We’re excited to welcome one of the KHL’s top goal-scorers from recent seasons, a player who truly needs no introduction. Joshua Leivo will bring instant danger and creativity to our offense and power play. A key factor in finalizing this deal was the player’s own desire to join us; he was already ready to make the move to Avangard last season. In order to fit this contract under the league’s salary cap restrictions, we utilized a marketing clause in his contract. We will be sharing more details about these upcoming marketing campaigns very soon.
Joshua Leivo currently holds the all-time KHL record for the most goals in a single regular season. The forward shattered Sergei Mozyakin’s record by lighting the lamp 49 times During the 2024/25 season.
