Avangard signs Artyom Ilyenko

Avangard Hockey Club has signed forward Artyom Ilyenko to a three-year contract.

- Another new addition to our team who needs no introduction. Artyom Ilyenko is a high-character center, a competitor, and a versatile two-way forward. He can also step up on the power play when needed. In recent seasons, Artyom has been associated with a defensive-minded role, but his speed and drive to the net will allow our bottom lines to keep up the offensive momentum generated by the top lines. I’m sure Artyom Ilyenko will become a fan favorite in Omsk. Wishing him the best of luck as he takes the next step in his career!
A product of Yaroslavl hockey, Ilyenko has played 557 games in the Kontinental Hockey League, putting up 128 points (57G, 71A).
Ilyenko will wear number 34 for Avangard.
